At a glance
Both badges belong to Chapter 2's nightmare after sleeping in the guest room. For Lost, use the central Wake Up point and check the award after returning to the bedroom. For Insane, continue into the deeper dream route: the square floor opening, miniature street, oversized furniture and the red-outlined figure. The current badge tutorial demonstrates that exploration path; use a Chapter 2 replay for a separate attempt at the other route.
These are source-based routes from October gameplay. The game does not publish a room-count threshold, and the sources do not establish whether both badges can be awarded during one nightmare or whether partial exploration carries over.

Enter the Chapter 2 nightmare
Reach Splink’s parents’ house, finish the Explore section and return to Splink at the piano. Ask for your room, follow him to the basement guest bedroom and interact with the bed.
Sleeping takes the player into the nightmare used for these two badges. The later 50-door Chapter ? has its own WAKE UP badge; use the secret-chapter guide for that run.
| Badge | Official description | Route to follow |
|---|---|---|
| Lost | Get too scared to explore in your nightmare. | Use the marked Wake Up point and return to the bedroom. |
| Insane | Witness a lot in your nightmare. | Continue through the deeper dream exploration path shown in the badge tutorial. |
Lost: use the Wake Up point
Find the Wake Up label in the central part of the dream and use that exit to return to the guest bedroom.
Jubok’s recording describes the marked point around 25:34. At 25:45, the player is back at the bedside flashlight and the screen visibly displays the Lost award notification. Check that notification or the Roblox badge list before continuing the chapter.
The recorded player had already looked through parts of the dream. It supports this wake-up route without establishing that every successful Lost attempt must avoid all exploration.
Insane: follow the deeper exploration route
Crano’s Insane segment at 7:18 provides landmarks for continuing beyond the early wake-up choice:
- Look for the square opening in the beige floor and drop into the deeper part of the dream.
- Follow the miniature street, including the road and car among oversized house objects.
- Continue through the giant furniture and kitchen area. The footage shows tall drawers and the gas-station/street view as landmarks.
- Explore the area near the Chelsea FC banner. A tall, flat-looking figure with a red outline appears there.
- Approach the figure as shown in the tutorial, then check Insane in the badge list.
Jubok’s replay follows the same larger dream area and tells the viewer to wait for the figure, then approach it at about 36:44. The run later shows the Chapter 2 achievement grid completed.
This is the exploration route demonstrated for Insane. The sources do not publish a numeric room or event threshold, so follow the route and check the badge result rather than stopping after an invented number of rooms. The separate Steak Key and Steak Door objectives are covered in the key guide.
Try the other route on a replay
A full-game recording shows Chapter 2 being replayed after completion. A practical collection plan is to use one visit for Lost’s wake-up route, then replay Chapter 2 to pursue the deeper Insane route.
That plan does not require either badge to be mutually exclusive. The sources do not establish whether both can be collected within one nightmare, how a mid-run death affects exploration, or whether a partial count survives leaving. Check the badge list after each attempt, and use a fresh Chapter 2 visit if the desired award is still missing.
