At a glance
Speak with Cruz in the lobby, follow the Room 67 objective, hide in the bathroom when the seven-second warning appears, then return for Cruz and use the bedroom key to reach the locked room. The arm reveal starts the final RUN sequence; reaching the elevator triggers the Chapter 1 completion card.
Route details are compiled from a current October 22, 2026 full-run video and walkthroughs last updated before the October 18 content update. The sources do not establish a mid-run checkpoint; the documented recovery is to replay Chapter 1.

Chapter 1 route
- Start in the lobby and talk to Cruz. He identifies Room 67 and explains that his food prank triggered Steak’s change. The Chapter 1 walkthrough begins in the apartment building lobby.
- Take the lobby elevator to the apartment floor. The reported elevator sequence has a ten-second countdown. Follow the objective to Room 67; the cookie trail in the hallway is optional.
- Enter the apartment and follow the active objective. After the threat sequence begins, a seven-second HIDE IN THE BATHROOM warning appears. Get into the bathroom and close the door before the countdown ends. Steak checks the apartment, then leaves. The in-game warning says not to flush the toilet; flushing is an optional badge objective, not part of the escape route.
- Leave when the objective changes to EXIT THE BUILDING. A voice behind a locked door says she is Romy and asks for help. Go back to the elevator, where Cruz returns.
- Get the bedroom key and open the locked door. Cruz says the key is in Steak’s bedroom. When Steak is distracted, take the key and use it on the door. The arm that bursts through is the cue to leave; the claimed identity is later revealed to be false in Chapter 2.
- Run to the elevator. Follow the RUN prompt through the collapsing hallway and enter the elevator. The Chapter 1 completion card is the reported end-of-chapter confirmation.
The two countdowns have different jobs: the ten-second elevator timer is an interaction window; the seven-second bathroom warning is a hide cue. For the separate under-eight-minute badge, use the Clocks Ticking route and optional-detour checklist.
Optional detours
The cookie trail leads toward Room 67 and is associated with Almost as big as Steak. Other Chapter 1 badge conditions include finding the maid outfit, turning on the television, flushing after Steak warns you not to, and being caught by Steak. These are separate objectives; none replaces the main escape sequence. The official badge catalogue gives the published wording.
If a run fails
The linked walkthroughs document replaying Chapter 1 from the Roblox experience. They do not establish a mid-route checkpoint or a recovery prompt after being caught. Treat a failed attempt as a replay from the chapter entry rather than relying on an unverified save point.
